Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is seeking a Material Handler to support daily salvage textile operations and equipment upkeep. The role involves operating the baler, transferring materials, loading/unloading bales, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in the donation processing area.
The position requires working nights, weekends, and holidays, with responsibilities including safety training, reporting, and cross-training on warehouse duties to enhance overall efficiency and mission
The Material Handler isresponsible for daily operations of bailers used for salvage textiles. They are also responsible for equipment upkeep, and maintaining a clean, neat and safe work environment.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. This position is required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is usually working in a comfortable and store environment. The employee will be exposed to the donation processing area which is a factory-like environment.
