Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is seeking a Material Handler to manage daily operations of salvaged textiles using balers. The role includes equipment upkeep and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment in the Donated Goods Center.
The position requires night, weekend, and holiday work, with responsibilities such as moving and staging bales, handling materials, and ensuring timely transport of merchandise according to guidelines.
The Material Handler isresponsible for daily operations of bailers used for salvage textiles. They are also responsible for equipment upkeep, and maintaining aclean, neat and safe work environment.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations. This position is required to work nights, weekends and holidays.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is usually working in a comfortable and store environment. The employee will be exposed to the donation processing area which is a factory-like environment.
