Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is seeking a Material Handler- Runner to support warehouse operations, move products between stations, and assist with salvage preparation. The role emphasizes safety and proper use of PPE while maintaining a clean work environment.
Cross-training may occur to cover additional duties. The position involves sorting, tagging, and labeling donated apparel for salvage, with emphasis on throughput, quality checks, and documentation of weights and inventory.
The Material Handler- Runner maintains efficient warehouse operations by moving product to and from various workstations, breaking down bales, and assisting with station clean-up. The position combines physical material handling with quality control. The Material Handler- Runner must have strong adherence to all safety policies and always wear all required personal protective equipment. The Material Handler- Runner will also sort and prepare the donated apparel to be able to sell in the salvage market when needed. The Warehouse Runner is responsible for production in the salvage department. This individual will sort, hang, tag, and label products according to standard operating procedures. They will also provide excellent customer service and maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment. This position may also be cross-trained and responsible for additional duties.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
Ability to speak and read English proficiently. Able to read and write reports, compile data as needed. Communicates effectively with others and provides essential customer service duties either verbally or via computer e‑mail.
Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Able to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is usually working in a combination of a warehouse and retail store environment. At times this employee may be exposed to the outside environment. The noise in this environment will be moderate to loud. May require travel to other states or Goodwill territories.
Must have open/flexible availability and be willing to work evenings & weekends.
