Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA in Park City, KS seeks a warehouse forklift operator to move raw materials, finished goods, and equipment on the plant floor. You will operate a forklift and may use cranes, hoists, and hand trucks to meet job requirements, under direct supervision.

Responsibilities include stocking and picking orders, loading/unloading trucks, cycle counts, defect material handling, and contributing to 6S and safety initiatives on the warehouse floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• Ability to read/write English (in Quebec, French acceptable).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. for 100 feet.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Previous forklift experience.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.
• Safety mindset.
• Preferred: handheld measuring tools.
• Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product per inventory plan.
• Selects product to fill customer orders and packages them properly.
• Loads and unloads trucks and verifies items loaded/unloaded.
• Picks, processes and packs orders; may cut orders with Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions.
• Performs general cleanup.
• Inspects forklift at start of shift; reports issues.
• Supports health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives.
• Assists in other duties on request.
• Works on warehouse floor around heavy machinery.

Job Summary

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle Counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
