Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator in Park City, KS, to move materials and products across the facility using a forklift and related equipment. You will perform loading, unloading, and order-picking while adhering to safety and ISO/6S initiatives.

The role requires forklift experience, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, basic math, and English literacy. You will work on the warehouse floor with emphasis on accuracy, safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs for 100 ft.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Previous forklift experience.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.
• Safety mindset required.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment using forklift and related machinery.
• Select and package products for customer orders; load/unload trucks and verify items.
• Perform cycle counts and inspect materials for defects.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and report issues.
• Complete paperwork per instructions; comply with health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives.

Job Summary

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle Counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
