Job summary

thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services is seeking a warehouse associate to move materials on the floor using a forklift and related equipment. You will perform order picking, packing, loading, and unloading duties to support timely distribution.

The role requires prior forklift experience, the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and basic math skills. This is a safety-sensitive position with pre-employment drug testing and a strong emphasis on health and ISO 6S initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to read and write English (French in Quebec).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet.
• Ability to perform basic math skills.
• Prior forklift experience is required.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.
• Safety mindset is essential.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished goods, and equipment on the warehouse floor using a forklift.
• Select and package products for customer orders; load/unload trucks.
• Inspect forklift at shift start; report issues to supervisor.
• Support health, safety and ISO 6S initiatives.
• Complete cycle counts and paperwork as required.
• Assist in other duties to support operations.

Job Summary

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

Key Accountabilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle Counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
