Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a warehouse associate to move materials and products on the warehouse floor using a forklift. You will also use cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and related equipment to meet job requirements under supervision.

The role involves basic problem solving and adherence to safety and quality standards. Key tasks include stocking, selecting, packing orders, loading/unloading trucks, and performing cycle counts.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, read/write French)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Must have previous forklift experience
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment using forklift on warehouse floor
• Accurately remove and stock products according to inventory plan
• Select products to fill customer orders and package properly
• Load and unload trucks and verify items

• Complete required paperwork and inspects forklift at shift start

Job Summary

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities:

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle Counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Job Compensation

From $22.50 - $26.00
