Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Material Handler based near Hobart, IN, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. You will support inventory control, move materials, and assist with maintenance projects, while adhering to Atkore safety rules.

The role requires PIT operation and forklift experience, with emphasis on handling long materials. Pay starts around $23.00/hour, with benefits and potential for overtime as part of a growing industrial team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of material handling experience in an industrial environment.
• Experience driving a side-loader forklift and handling long products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs).
• Load and unload materials and products.
• Move materials between loading docks, storage areas and manufacturing areas.
• Stack skids, crates or parts and dispose of scrap.
• Additional responsibilities as necessary.
