Job summary

Atkore International is seeking a Material Handler based out of Hobart, IN, reporting to the Maintenance Manager. Responsibilities include inventory control of storeroom, material handling, preparing work areas, and supporting maintenance projects.

You will operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs), load/unload materials, move items across docks and manufacturing areas, and stack/crates while disposing of scrap. A high school diploma and 1 year of experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent.
• 1 year of material handling experience in an industrial environment or equivalent training.
• Forklift experience required; side-loader forklift experience strongly preferred.
• Experience handling long products and bundles is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate different Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs).
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products.
• Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.
• Stack skids, crates or parts in designated areas. Clean and dispose of scrap.
• Additional responsibilities as necessary.
