Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Material Handler based in Hobart, IN to support production and distribution by pulling from inventory, delivering materials, and staging finished goods. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks, load/unload, move materials across docks and manufacturing areas, and help maintain inventory accuracy while complying with Atkore safety rules.

Previous forklift experience, ability to handle long products and bundles, and a strong

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
1 year material handling experience in an industrial environment.
Experience driving a side-loader forklift preferred.
Experience handling long products and bundles preferred.
Forklift experience required.

Responsibilities

Safely operate powered industrial trucks (PITs).
Load and unload materials and products.
Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.
Stack skids, crates, or dunnage in designated areas. Clean and dispose of scrap.
Manage inventory using scan guns and ensure transaction accuracy.
Safely package or repackage raw or finished goods with manual banding equipment.
Service manufacturing lines to minimize production impact.
