Job summary

Atkore is seeking a Material Handler to support mill operations in Hobart, IN. You will pull orders from inventory, deliver production materials, and stage finished products to ensure smooth production flow.

You will operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PITs), load/unload shipments, and move materials across docks and manufacturing areas. Safety, accuracy, and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent required.
• 1 Year of material handling experience preferred in an industrial environment.
• Forklift experience required; side-loader forklift experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate PITs, including large format Combi-Lifts.
• Load and unload materials and products from inbound/outbound shipments.
• Move materials between loading docks, trucks, storage, and manufacturing areas.
• Stack skids and crates; clean and dispose of scrap.
• Manage inventory using scan guns and complete required transactions.
• Package or repackage raw or finished goods with banding equipment.
• Support manufacturing lines to avoid production disruption.
