Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking a Material Handler to unload donations and move goods to production. This role offers a pay rate of $17.13/hour in an outdoor/warehouse setting with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Responsibilities include sorting donations, maintaining tallies, and ensuring smooth flow to the production area. Forklift operation may be required where certified. No prior experience required.

• Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those with limited English skills.
• No experience required.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Remove and sort salvage material and garbage from salable goods.
• Sort donations into appropriate bins for processing.
• Provide a smooth flow of goods to the production floor.
• Use cardboard compactors and identify problems.
• Maintain donor tallies.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and report hazards or accidents.
• Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
• If applicable: safe forklift operation when certified to Seattle Goodwill standards.
