Job summary

Henderson Products Inc. in Manchester, IA, is seeking a Material Handler for the day shift (3:30 PM to 1:30 AM, 20 min lunch). You will operate forklifts to transport, stack, and stage materials between departments, unload trucks, and support factory operations by coordinating deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to transport, stack, or store materials between or within departments.
• Unload trucks and use hoists and other equipment.
• Coordinate delivery of materials, parts, jigs, fixtures, dies, and supplies to manufacturing and service areas.
• Assist other departments whenever possible.
• Perform daily inspection of material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Day Shift - 3:30PM to 1:30PM (20 Min paid lunch)

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE: Material Handlers safely and efficiently operate forklifts to transport, stack, or store materials between or within departments; must unload trucks and use hoists and other equipment; are knowledgeable about materials and part numbers; support factory operations by coordinating delivery of materials, parts, jigs, fixtures, dies, and supplies to manufacturing and service areas. Assists other departments whenever possible. Responsible for daily inspection of material handling equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS:

• Ability to operate forklifts efficiently and safely
• Understand and utilize safe working habits
• Ability to use good judgment
• Willingness to work with multiple departments

• Extensive experience operating fork lifts

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, lifting, and standing
• Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
