Job summary

Henderson Products, Inc. in Manchester, IA is seeking a night shift fabricator to set up and operate fabrication equipment safely, produce quality parts, and read blueprints to meet daily production requirements.

You will work 3:30pm–1:30am with a 20-minute lunch, and enjoy benefits including PTO, 11 paid holidays, a quarterly retention incentive, and a 401(k) plan. Night shift includes a 15% differential and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Must have basic shop math and the ability to read a tape measure and use a protractor.
• Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints.
• Calculate tonnage for punching and sheering.
• Identify various types and gauges of steel.
• Ability to operate overhead hoist.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.

• Use blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to manufacture parts to specification.

We are the North American leader in the design, manufacture and up fit of multi-purpose equipment for heavy-duty work trucks specializing in snow and ice control and "Keeping America's Roads Safe!"

Night Shift - 3:30pm to 1:30am, 20-minute paid lunch. Flexible start times available if needed.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

• Set up and operate fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
• Produce quality parts that meet daily production requirements.
• Utilize blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to manufacture quality products.
• Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate parts to specification.
• Apply basic shop math and accurately use a tape measure and protractor.
• Identify various types and gauges of steel.
• Operate assigned equipment within a designated functional area.
• Operate overhead hoists and material-handling equipment safely.
• Monitor quality standards and support scrap reduction initiatives.
• Communicate effectively, timely, and professionally with team members and supervisors.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental and production goals.
• Maintain established housekeeping and 5S standards.
• Follow all company health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of basic shop math, ability to read a tap measure and utilize a protractor

(Preferred)

• 1,000 hours of trade school
• Fabrication experience
