Job summary

The Bay Family of Companies is seeking a Material Handler to support the laminating operation by loading, unloading, and moving fiberglass insulation and facing materials. You will maintain documentation for shipments and use forklifts safely to keep production flowing.

This on-site role requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to safety in a manufacturing setting. You will also help with housekeeping and assist in staging materials for changeovers as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.
• Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification on hire.
• Familiarity with fiberglass insulation, facing materials, or metal building insulation manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, Bills of Lading, Packing Slips accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
• Basic computer and inventory system proficiency.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished laminated rolls using forklifts and approved equipment.
• Ensure materials are delivered to production areas in correct order and quantity.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation (Bills of Lading, Packing Slips).
• Perform daily forklift safety inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Keep work areas clean and safe, and assist production/shipping as needed.
• Handle hazardous or special materials under supervision and safety regulations.
