Job summary

Baxter Healthcare in Cleveland, MS is hiring a Material Handler III to support the efficient production of Plastic Pour Bottles. You will verify materials, perform line clearances, operate a forklift, and move items between production and warehouse.

You will maintain documentation, uphold cGMP and 6S standards, participate in continuous improvement, and contribute to a safe, organized work environment. The role requires a high school diploma and may involve lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures.
• Trained forklift and hand cart driver preferred.
• Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.
• Learn, understand and apply rigorous quality standards, SOPs and cGMP
• Notify the supervisor and take appropriate action if any safety, quality, mechanical or discrepancy issues occur.
• Sustain a clean and safe work area using 6S principles.
• Ability to bend, stoop and climb ladders; stand for long periods; lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing processes for the production of Plastic Pour Bottles.
• Perform and document line clearances.
• Verify correctness of material.
• Responsible for supplying parts to and from the manufacturing operation.
• Operate forklift to transfer gaylords and totes to/from warehouse.
• Clean and bring empty gaylords into the department to be filled with preforms.
• Remove used gaylord bags and replace with new bags.
• Stack and remove filled preform gaylords from production area on a forklift and stage in the released warehouse area.
• Report abnormalities and corrective action to shift leader/supervision.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts and Lean exercises.
• Maintain good housekeeping and 6S responsibilities as assigned.
