Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in the United States is seeking a Material Handler III to support the production of Plastic Pour Bottles. You will ensure materials are accurate, available, and properly handled, perform line clearances, verify materials, and operate forklifts to move goods between production and warehouse areas.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic math and documentation skills, and the ability to read specifications. Forklift training is preferred; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; technical education a plus.
• Ability to read and understand specifications and procedures.
• Basic mathematical and computer skills required.
• Experience with forklift operation preferred.
• Trained as forklift and hand cart driver preferred.
• Audiometric testing and hearing protection required.
• Comply with cGMP, SOPs and 6S principles.
• Notify supervisor of safety or quality issues promptly.

Responsibilities

• Perform manufacturing processes for the production of Plastic Pour Bottles.
• Perform and document line clearances.
• Verify correctness of material.
• Provide and move parts to/from manufacturing operations.
• Operate forklift to transfer gaylords and totes to/from warehouse.
• Clean and prepare empty gaylords and stage finished goods.
• Replace bags in empty gaylords and stage releases in warehouse.
• Stack and move filled containers with a forklift; report abnormalities.
• Participate in continuous improvement and Lean activities.
• Maintain 6S housekeeping and safety responsibilities.
