BlueLinx is seeking a dedicated Material Handler/Forklift Operator to join our distribution center in the United States. This role offers a fixed wage with a Monday–Friday schedule, medical/dental/vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, tuition reimbursement, life insurance, and generous PTO plus holidays.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift, loading/unloading materials, paperwork for distribution, and routine equipment maintenance.

Formación

• One year or recent forklift/warehouse experience.
• Ability to proficiently and safely use forklift to transport products and load/unload trucks.
• Ability to understand and follow directions.
• Ability to work independently at times under pressure.
• Ability to handle physical tasks, such as lifting up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to read/comprehend sales orders, purchase orders, safety data, etc.
• Safe work record and stable work history.

• Load/unload/store building materials from trailers or rail cars while minimizing damage.
• Store and retrieve material (piece pick and/or bulk).
• Prepare the paperwork required for distribution and shipping of products.
• Performs daily inspection and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in working and assigned area.
• Assists in periodic inventory counts as requested.

What You’ll Do:

The fixed rate is $30.50 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage. Actual compensation will depend on factors including experience, qualifications, skills, geographic location, and other job-related considerations. BlueLinx also offers a comprehensive benefits package including health care, dental, vision, life and disability insurance starting the first day of the month, 15 days of paid time off that start accruing your first day, and 8 paid holidays per year.
