Job summary

The Hillman Group in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Material Handler to support operations by moving materials and finished products using powered industrial equipment, on a night shift from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, replenishment, inventory staging, operating pallet jacks, forklifts, and order pickers, while maintaining safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Forklift certification required.
• Experience with material handling preferred.
• Able to operate pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of powered, industrial equipment.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Use hand scanner to track materials.
• Pick up incoming materials from Receiving dock.
• Unload and store stock in Bulk storage area.
• Replenish materials to workstations timely.
• Stock products to correct boxes and locations.
• Move finished products to designated areas.
• Stack pallets and skids in designated areas.
• Operate pallet jack and forklift as needed.
• Report issues to supervisor; follow safety guidelines.

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manager

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Forklift Certification required.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Environment

Material Handler Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Material Handler Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
