Job summary

The Hillman Group is hiring a Material Handler to support operations at our Cincinnati facility. This role moves materials and finished products using powered industrial equipment, loads/unloads trucks, and replenishes workstations to ensure smooth production flow.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with material handling experience preferred. Training on safety and equipment will be provided; the position runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, with overtime on Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of powered, industrial equipment.

Job Summary

Supports Operations by moving materials and finished products to designated areas in the facility with a variety of powered industrial equipment.

Essential Job Functions *

• Operates a variety of powered, industrial equipment
• Loads and unloads trucks
• Ability to use a hand scanner
• Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
• Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
• Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
• Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
• Transfers finished products to designated areas
• Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
• Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
• Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manger

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Competencies – Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Material handling experience is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
• Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
• Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Material Handler: Must be forklift operation certified. Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day. Exposure to loud noise. Functional vision and hearing required.

Physical Demands

Material Handler: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
