Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Material Handler I to move material such as glass and metal through the plant, including loading and off-loading from tables, racks, and trucks, and to report to the Production Supervisor. Starting pay is $24 per hour.

The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, standing 8–10 hours on a concrete floor, and working in a manufacturing environment with variable noise and climate.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; overtime when required.
• Prior experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand and move 8–10 hours per day on a concrete floor.
• Able to withstand moderate to high noise levels.

Responsibilities

• On/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Reads work orders and follows job standards for safety, quality and production.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while using a tape measure.
