The Material Handler I at Oldcastle Building Envelop is responsible for moving material such as glass and metal within the plant, loading/unloading from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates, and reporting to the Production Supervisor. Candidates should be detail-oriented, reliable, and safety-conscious, with a willingness to solve problems daily.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
• Stand for 8 to 10 hours on a concrete floor.
• Read and interpret basic measurements with a tape measure.
• Attention to safety, quality and efficiency in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• On/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Reads work orders and follows job standards for safety, quality and production.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure.
