Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Material Handler I to move material, including glass and metal, within the plant. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and emphasizes safety, quality, and efficiency. Starting pay is $24 per hour.

Ideal candidates will have prior production/manufacturing experience, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and the stamina to stand for long shifts on a concrete floor. Employment is full-time at our Avon, IN facility.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Comfort working in noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• On/off-loading the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Reads work orders and follows job standards for safety, quality and production.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
• Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure.
