Job summary

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Material Handler I for its Richmond, VA facility to support the paint line operations. You will load and unload metal parts, track work orders, and help ensure on-time production while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 12 months in manufacturing, and strong communication skills. A team-oriented, adaptable mindset and basic MS Office proficiency are important for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum of 12 months experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Strong and effective communication skills.
• Must be able to reach with hands and arms, sit, stoop and kneel for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload metal parts for daily fabrication at the paint line.
• Complete daily activities to meet production goals.
• Identify parts using work orders and maintain quality standards (zero defects).
• Promote a safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Communicate job status between shifts and support continuous improvement.
