Job summary

Dover Food Retail, a Dover Corporation company, is seeking a Material Handler II – Paint for our Richmond, VA paint line. The role involves loading and unloading metal parts, ensuring daily production goals are met, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the shift.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year in a manufacturing setting, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds while standing and walking most of the day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 12 months experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Load/unload metal parts for the paint line.
• Meet daily production goals in the paint area.
• Identify parts using work orders and descriptions.
• Maintain high quality standards and zero defects.
• Promote a safe work environment and follow safety procedures.
• Communicate job status between shifts and hand off work in progress.
• Assist with training and participate in continuous improvement efforts.
