Job summary

Johnstone Supply LLC is seeking a Material Handler I for our Ocala, FL facility. The role focuses on receiving, filling, and shipping products accurately, with emphasis on safety and paperwork accuracy.

Responsibilities include forklift operation, product receiving, inventory accuracy, packing, labeling, and basic hazardous material documentation. OSHA safety standards and ERP systems familiarity are important.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 0–1 year of related experience or equivalent.
• Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of HVAC wholesale industry, principles, and practices.
• Previous OSHA safety regulations and procedures experience.
• Forklift certification is required or willingness to obtain on the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider, sit-down forklift) to locate, store, and move products daily.
• Receive product by unloading trucks using forklift or hand.
• Inspect shipments for damage and verify against packing lists; sign freight bills.
• Scan labels and ensure barcodes and stock numbers are correct and documented.
• Pick and pack orders; ensure proper packing, stacking, and paperwork.
• Document shipment of hazardous materials and prep for transport.
• Prepare trucks for shipment, palletize, wrap orders, and load into trucks.
