Job summary

Johnstone Supply, a leading HVACR wholesale distributor, seeks a COS Material Handler I to receive, fill, and ship products efficiently. You will operate forklifts, ensure accurate shipments, and maintain inventory controls in a safety-focused warehouse.

Responsibilities include loading, unloading, scanning, packing, and documenting shipments, with emphasis on OSHA compliance and quality control. A forklift certification is preferred or obtainable on the job.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 0–1 year related experience or training.
• Forklift certification required or willingness to obtain on the job.
• Experience with a picker, forklift, RF scanner, and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of OSHA and safety regulations and procedures.
• English proficiency (written and spoken) is a core requirement.

Responsibilities

• Operate power equipment (electric pallet, walkie rider, sit-down forklift) safely to locate and move products.
• Receive product by unloading trucks using forklift or by hand.
• Verify shipments against packing lists and complete paperwork for discrepancies.
• Scan products, print labels, and resolve labeling discrepancies.
• Fill orders by picking, packing, and labeling for shipment.
