Job summary

Schwan's Company is hiring for a full-time material handler in Texas. Starting pay is $16.50 per hour with an additional $1.50 shift differential for the night shift (6 p.m.–6 a.m.). The first shift runs 5:00 am–1:30 pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 0 to 2 years related experience.
• Must be able to work in freezers with subzero temperatures for 4-8 hours per day and stand up to 8 hours.

Responsibilities

• Moving materials and supplies through the facility, which may require the use of material handling equipment such as carts, conveyor belts, and pallet jacks.
• Stacking skids or pallets in designated areas and cleaning and disposing of scrap bracing cardboard and strapping.
• Placing items in proper containers or designated areas.
• Using lists to determine and count quantities of product moving throughout the facility and conducting intermediate material audits.
• Other duties as assigned (such as general maintenance work around the facility and processing of load sheets).
