Job summary

CJ Schwan's is hiring for a full-time material handler in a food manufacturing setting. Expect a first shift from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, with a starting pay of $17.50 per hour and a $1.50 shift differential for hours 6 p.m.–6 a.m.

This role involves moving materials with equipment like pallet jacks and conveyors, plus maintaining accurate material audits. Candidates should have at least 2 years of related experience and a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of related experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Must be able to work in freezer environments for 4–8 hours daily and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Move materials and supplies using carts, conveyors, and pallet jacks.
• Stack pallets and maintain clean work areas; dispose of scrap material and cardboard.
• Conduct intermediate material audits and ensure items are placed in designated containers.

What You Will Do

• Moving materials and supplies through the facility which may require the use of material handling equipment such as carts, conveyer belts, and pallet jacks.
• Stacking skids or pallets in designated areas, cleaning and disposing of scrap bracing cardboard and strapping.
• Placing items in proper containers or designated areas and conducting intermediate material audits.

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Must be able to work in freezers with subzero temperatures for 4-8 hours per day and stand up to hours per day.
