Job summary

OBE is seeking a vigilant Material Handler I to move and stage glass and metal components within our Perrysburg, Ohio plant. This entry-level role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and reliability as you support production and logistics workflows.

You will read work orders, follow quality standards, and match labels to shipments while maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Starting pay is $24.70 per hour, with potential for raises and bonuses under a pay-for-performance culture.

Qualifications

• Move material including glass and/or metal between positions to expedite product throughout the plant.
• Read and interpret basic measurements and use a tape measure.
• Lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and work on concrete floors for long shifts.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Material Handler I is focused on moving material including glass and/or metal from one position/location to another to expedite the product throughout the plant. To include on/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Supervisor.
This role is perfect for an individual who has an attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency) strong work ethic/reliability and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Production Departments, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Starting Pay Rate: $24.70 per hour and the job location is in Perrysburg.

Job responsibilities include:

• On/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.

• Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure.

What We Are Looking For

• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.
• Prior work experience performed inside a production/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand and move around on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor.
• Able to withstand noise levels in the work environment that can be moderate to high.
• Prior work history in a plant facility that is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.).
