Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a material handler in Southington, CT to move materials, issue and stock production lines, perform cycle counts, and load finished goods with care. Forklift and pallet jack operation will be routine.

The role supports accurate inventory, safe handling, and adherence to shipping documentation, with a first shift and overtime as designated.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to understand shipping and packing lists, etc.
• Must have adequate computer skills to comprehend and operate related automated systems
• Strong attention to detail including accurate cycle counting skills
• Heavy lifting, driving a forklift and handling pallet jacks

Responsibilities

• Responsible for proper movement of all materials

JOB DETAILS

Base Pay starts at $19.50

Shift: 1st shift M-F from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, overtime as designated

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for proper movement of all materials
• Accurate issuing and stocking of production lines
• Cycle counting of raw materials as required
• Proper picking and loading of finished goods
• Assures finished goods are accurately loaded and handled with care
• Assures manufacturing loads are accurate and properly combined
• Assures scrap material is properly weighed and prepared for pick up
• Safe operation of forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc.
• Other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

SAP experience preferred
