Job summary

Olympic Steel, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support production operations in Chambersburg, PA. You will move WIP materials on the floor, stage finished goods, and assist with raw material receipt and preparation.

You will operate a forklift, handheld plasma, and an acetylene torch, with overhead crane use and rigging as required. A high school diploma and forklift experience are required or preferred as noted.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience required.
• Acetylene torch and handheld plasma experience preferred.
• Proper use and care of precision instruments.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Move work-in-progress material on the production floor.
• Stage finished goods and load trucks.
• Receive raw materials and prepare materials for use.
• Handle scrap parts and operate forklift, handheld plasma and acetylene torch.
• Use overhead crane (5–10 ton) and rigging.
