Olympic Steel in Chambersburg, PA is seeking a Material Handler to support production processes, including material movement, staging, loading, and material preparation. You will also manage scrap, operate a forklift, handheld plasma, and acetylene torch, and work with an overhead crane.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift experience, and preferred torch/plasma experience, plus basic math and self-motivation. Comprehensive benefits apply.

• Forklift experience required.
• Acetylene torch and handheld plasma experience preferred.
• Proper use and care of precision instruments.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Move work-in-progress material on the production floor and assist with finished goods staging.
• Assist with truck loading and raw material receiving.
• Prepare materials on the floor and related paperwork.
• Handle scrap parts and operate equipment such as forklift, handheld plasma, and acetylene torch.
• Work with overhead crane usage (5 & 10 ton) and rigging as required.
