Olympic Steel is seeking a Material Handler to support production, move materials, stage finished goods, and assist with line operations. The role involves forklift operation, handling scrap parts, and using a plasma torch and acetylene torch under supervision.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift experience, basic math, and a self-motivated work ethic. Safety and accuracy are essential in this hands-on position with crane/rigging duties.

Responsibilities

• Move work-in-progress material on the production floor and assist with finished goods staging.
• Handle scrap parts and operate forklift, handheld plasma, and acetylene torch as required.
• Prepare paperwork for materials on the floor and maintain accurate records.
• Overhead crane usage (5 & 10 ton) and rigging as needed.
• Rigging and overhead crane tasks (5 & 10 ton).
