Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a Material Handler to support production processes on the manufacturing floor. You will move work-in-progress materials, stage finished goods, load trucks, and assist with raw material receiving and preparation.

This role also involves handling scrap parts and operating a forklift, handheld plasma, and an acetylene torch, with overhead crane usage and rigging when required. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift experience, basic math skills,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience required.
• Acetylene torch and handheld plasma experience preferred.
• Proper use and care of precision instruments.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Move work-in-progress material on the production floor and stage finished goods.
• Prepare materials paperwork and manage raw material receiving.
• Handle scrap parts and operate forklift, handheld plasma, and acetylene torch.
• Overhead crane usage (5 & 10 ton) and rigging as needed.
• Assist with on-floor administrative tasks related to material flow.
