Olympic Steel in the United States is seeking a Material Handler to support production through moving WIP, staging finished goods, loading trucks, receiving raw materials, and preparing materials on the floor. The role also involves handling scrap parts and performing related administrative tasks.

Proficiency with forklift and overhead crane, plus acetylene torch and handheld plasma experience, are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift experience required.
• Acetylene torch and handheld plasma experience preferred.
• Proper use and care of precision instruments.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work under general supervision.

Responsibilities

• Move work-in-progress material on the production floor and stage finished goods.
• Load trucks and assist with raw material receiving and preparation.
• Prepare paperwork for materials and manage scrap parts.
• Operate overhead crane and rigging as needed (5–10 ton).
