Job summary

Olympic Steel Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to support production processes on the shop floor, moving work-in-progress and finished goods, loading trucks, receiving materials, and preparing paperwork.

The role requires forklift experience, ability to operate overhead cranes (5 and 10 ton), and basic math; acetylene torch and handheld plasma experience are preferred. This position offers comprehensive benefits and a path for growth.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Forklift experience is required.
• Acetylene torch and handheld plasma experience preferred.
• Proper use and care of precision instruments.
• Basic math skills and ability to work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Move work-in-progress material on the production floor and stage finished goods.
• Load trucks and assist with raw material receiving and preparation.
• Prepare paperwork for materials on the floor and manage scrap parts.
• Operate forklift and overhead cranes (5 & 10 ton) and rigging as needed.
