Job summary

Barry Callebaut Group in St. Albans, VT, is seeking a Material Handler to move materials by forklift/handcart, verify and store inbound materials, and support production.

The role requires warehousing experience, a valid license, and comfort with material handling equipment in a food-manufacturing setting. Responsibilities include safe operation of forklifts, cycle counts, and providing materials to internal customers while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a warehouse environment.
• Valid motor vehicle license, required.
• SAP and WMS knowledge preferred as well as math skills.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety, sanitation, GMP and HACCP requirements.
• Operate forklift vehicles in a safe manner.
• Perform material handling in production and warehouse areas.
• Inspect inbound/outbound materials for conformance and loading.
• Perform sample checks on inbound materials as required.
• Assign and store all inbound materials.
• Provide raw materials and packaging to internal customers.
• Restock unused materials as needed.
• Complete daily cycle counts per auditing guidelines.
• Report motorized equipment failures prior to use.
• Support special project needs as necessary.
