Job summary

ALCOM is seeking a Material Handler in Winslow, ME to receive, store, and move materials, supporting production operations and ensuring accurate records. Forklift operation is required, and familiarity with inventory systems and MS-Office is preferred.

The role emphasizes safe practices, belt-tight processes, and cross-training across warehouse duties, with a first shift from Monday to Thursday, 6am–4:30pm. A positive attitude and dependable work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• High school level math skills; HS diploma preferred.
• Experience with warehouse and materials flow in a fast-paced, highly customized factory.
• Forklift trained by Alcom.
• Ability to work with inventory systems and MS-Office.

Responsibilities

• Receives, stores, and moves material throughout the factory, warehouse, stockroom, and general premises.
• Pulls/replenishes parts, raw materials, and other production-related items; delivers to appropriate areas.
• Wraps/unwraps, re-packages material as necessary for storage or production needs.
• Load/unload packages and pallets from trucks.
• Record transactions and mark/identify material/product.
• Deliver necessary items from the receipt or manufacturing point to the final storage location.
• Support safe practices and cross-train for warehouse and stockroom duties.
• Recommend improvements to gain efficiency in materials movement and storage.
