Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Houston, TX is seeking a hands-on warehouse associate to move and inspect glass and metal products, operate forklift and crane, and follow safety and production standards.

You will read work orders, measure with a tape, label items, and maintain a clean, organized work area while ensuring quality and efficiency. Overtime may be required based on production needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior work experience inside a production or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to drive a forklift and work around overhead cranes; basic computer knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to read, understand, communicate, and perform general mathematical equations.
• Regular attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to prioritize work under deadlines and work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Move glass and metal products safely from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Operate specialized equipment, including driving a forklift and working around an overhead vacuum-assisted 3-ton crane.
• Transport and rotate materials manually or with equipment through various phases of the laminating process.
• Read work orders and follow strict job standards for safety, quality, and production efficiency.
• Inspect product quality for visual flaws and ensure materials meet product specifications.
• Use a tape measure to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements accurately.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products, packages, and required paperwork.
• Maintain a clean work area and immediately notify the supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
