Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Material Handler I to move material including glass and metal within the plant, handling on/off-loading from tables, racks, trucks, and crates, reporting to the Production Supervisor.

This role suits someone with strong attention to safety, quality and efficiency, reliable, and a problem solver. Starting pay rate is $26.70 per hour, with growth opportunities within a large, global manufacturing leader.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required
• Prior work experience performed inside a production/manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted
• Ability to stand and move around on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor
• Able to withstand noise levels in the work environment that can be moderate to high
• Prior work history in a plant facility that is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)

Responsibilities

• On/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates
• Reads work orders and follows job standards for safety, quality and production
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages
• Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure
