Job summary

The OBE Houston plant is hiring a Material Handler for the 2nd shift in the Furnace Department. You will move, load, and unload glass and metal to keep the tempering process running safely and smoothly, reporting to the Production Supervisor as a key team member.

Responsibilities include operating a forklift and overhead crane, reading work orders, inspecting quality, and keeping the area clean and safe. Prior production experience and dependable attendance are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Prior production or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read work orders and perform basic math.
• Dependability, punctuality, and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Move glass and metal products safely during loading, unloading, and transfer.
• Operate forklift and overhead crane around equipment.
• Read work orders and follow job standards for safety and quality.
• Inspect product quality and measure items with a tape as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; report issues to supervisor.
