Job summary

Welch Packaging Group in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a dependable forklift operator to handle clamp truck and banding equipment, receive rollstock and other raw materials, and load/unload trucks and rail cars per procedures.

You will assist in maintaining organized warehouses, follow safety protocols, read production schedules, and collaborate with shipping and other forklift drivers to ensure efficient, safe operations on a fast-paced production floor.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior forklift experience required.
• Must pass basic forklift and clamp truck training.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift and clamp truck according to procedures.
• Receive rollstock and other raw materials; unload/load trucks and rail cars.
• Assist Material Handlers and Shipping Personnel; keep warehouse organized.
• Maintain a clean work area and follow safety and LOTO procedures.
• Communicate relevant information to oncoming shift; document as required.
