Job summary

Welch Packaging is seeking a reliable Forklift Operator to join our Indianapolis facility. You will operate sit-down propane forklifts, load/unload trucks and rail cars, and keep docks orderly while following safety procedures.

Responsibilities include daily pre-shift inspections, reporting unsafe conditions, maintaining accuracy in load tracking, and cooperating with team members to meet production schedules.

Qualifications

• Prior forklift experience required.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift to load and unload trucks and rail cars according to schedule.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report safety issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized dock and work area.
• Follow all safety procedures and plant policies, including LOTO and quality checks.
