Job summary

Evergreen Goodwill of Northwest Washington is seeking a Material Handler to unload donations and move goods to production areas at our Port Orchard facility.

The role, in Production, is non-exempt with pay rate $17.13-$19.00/hour DOE; includes outdoor/warehouse environment and safety responsibilities. Requires 18+ and HS diploma; forklift certification optional. Join a nonprofit focused on DEI and career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• No prior experience required.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older.
• Optional forklift certification if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Remove and sort salvage material and garbage from salable goods.
• Sort donations into appropriate bins for further processing.
• Provide a smooth flow of goods to the production floor.
• Use cardboard compactors and identify problems.
• Maintain donor tallies.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Demonstrate safe work practices and report hazards.
• Build and maintain customer satisfaction.
