Job summary

Aerotek is seeking motivated general laborers and material handlers for a contract-to-hire role in Pasadena, TX. You will move materials in a machine shop, support operators, and help with painting tasks as needed.

The position is day shift in a non-climate controlled shop. Safety boots are required; forklift experience is preferred. Pay is $18/hr with benefits available and opportunities for advancement.

We are seeking motivated general laborers and material handlers to join a dynamic team at a manufacturer specializing in custom-engineered electrical gear for the energy, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors. The role involves moving materials within the machine shop to assist machine operators and painters. Responsibilities include handling sheet metal and smaller objects, with larger items managed by forklift operators.

Work Environment

Located in Pasadena, Texas, the medium-sized, clean, and organized shop is non-climate controlled with open bay doors and plenty of fans.

Employees are required to wear steel-toed boots, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses.

The day shift operates from Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm , typically working 11 hours a day, 5-6 days a week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pasadena, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
