Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler/Forklift Operator/CDL Driver to move, load, and stage products within the warehouse and between locations. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and yard trucks, inspecting pallets, and maintaining safety and housekeeping standards.

The role requires CDL and at least 1 year of shipping/warehouse experience, with overtime as needed. Strong attention to weight requirements and shipping instructions is essential.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Warehouse Material Handler/Forklift Operator/CDL Driver

The Warehouse Material Handler/Forklift Operator/CDL driver is responsible to pick loads, load trailers, stage product for pickup, pull product, and move product with a lift truck or turret truck within the warehouse. They also drive yard trucks and over‑the‑road semi‑tractor trailer trucks between warehouse locations.

Responsibilities

• Move product from staging area to designated area within the warehouse.
• Drive lift truck/turret trucks or yard trailers as required.
• Maintain row tags for material staged on the floor.
• Work overtime when required.
• Operate the forklift to move materials to the lines as needed.
• Inspect all pallets for accuracy in regards to weight and correctness.
• Load racks in the warehouse with finished goods.
• Maintain proper housekeeping while performing duties.
• Assist wherever needed.
• Operate the forklift in a safe manner at all times.
• Perform safety checks before using forklift or truck each shift.
• Adhere to attendance guidelines.
• Follow all company policies, procedures and safety guidelines.

Essential Physical Requirements

• Sitting to drive a truck as required as much as 100% of the workday.
• Standing and walking for as much as 70% of the workday.
• Reaching with hands and arms for as much as 75% of the workday.

• Kneeling, stooping, crouching or crawling for as much as 10% of the workday.
• Bending, twisting, reaching and leaning for as much as 100% of the workday.
• Talking to communicate with direct reports for as much as 100% of the workday.
• Hearing to communicate with direct reports for as many minutes of the workday.
• Using arms to grasp, handle and type for as much as 75% of the workday.
• Required to exert 60 pounds of force occasionally (less than 1/3 of time); and/or up to 40 pounds of force occasionally (less than 1/3); and/or up to 30 pounds of force regularly (more than 2/3 of the total time).

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred. CDL License required.

Experience

Minimum 1 year of over‑the‑road experience. Six months in a shipping/warehouse environment.

Special Skills

• Understand methods of shipping/loading requirements, weight requirements, and customers' special instructions.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Good math skills a plus.
