Job summary

Saronic Technologies is seeking a detail-oriented Material Handler to support the production of autonomous surface vessels for the DoD. You will manage receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, maintain accurate inventory records, and collaborate with procurement and production teams to fulfill requisitions.

In a fast-paced manufacturing environment, you will use inventory systems, follow safety protocols, and assist with lean initiatives to improve material flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a material handler in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems; ERP experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Receive shipments and verify against purchase orders and packing slips.
• Organize and store materials with proper handling and safety adherence.
• Maintain inventory records using electronic systems.
• Prepare materials for outbound shipments with proper labeling and documentation.
• Coordinate with procurement and production to fulfill material requests promptly.
• Monitor stock levels and communicate shortages or surpluses to adjust orders.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
• Assist lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize material flow and reduce waste.
• Coordinate with logistics partners for transportation between suppliers, subcontractors, and production facilities.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies.
