Job summary

Carpenter Co. has immediate openings for a Material Handler, 2nd shift at our Fogelsville, PA manufacturing plant. This position handles unfinished/finished products to ensure an orderly flow of materials and goods.

You will work with supervisors and production personnel daily, maintaining a well-organized, safely labeled work area to meet production and shipping schedules. On-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic reading, writing and math skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to operate a forklift and be trained as a machine operator.

Responsibilities

• Receive finished product at end of the line.
• Inspect finished goods before passing to the next process.
• Place correct labels on packaged materials.
• Read and follow route slips and daily schedules.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately.
• Assist in other areas of the production area as needed.

As the successful candidate, you will be expected to communicate with department supervisors, department operators, and production personnel on a daily basis, and maintain a well-organized work area that is safely stacked and properly labeled to achieve the necessary results to meet production and shipping schedules.
