Job summary

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Material Handler at our Fogelsville, PA manufacturing plant. This role ensures an orderly flow of raw materials and finished goods by handling unfinished/finished product safely and efficiently.

The successful candidate will work with department management and team members, read route slips, operate a forklift, and lift up to 50 lbs in a dynamic manufacturing environment while maintaining quality and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Basic reading/writing/math skills required.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and operate a forklift.

Responsibilities

  • Receive finished product and inspect for quality and labeling.
  • Read route slips and daily schedules to guide workflow.
  • Place correct labels on packaged materials and ensure proper paperwork.
  • Communicate with management and team leads daily about status.
  • Assist other production areas as needed.

Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Material Handler at our Fogelsville, PA manufacturing plant. This position is responsible for efficiently and safely handling unfinished and/or finished product or material to ensure an orderly flow of raw materials and finished goods.

Carpenter Co. employees are committed to working hard to ensure production goals are met while maintaining operations excellence. The successful candidate will maintain daily communication with department management, team lead and other employees in the department. The position must produce product with varying cutting instructions based on production requirements. The position works in a normal manufacturing environment with exposure to temperature changes.

Additional Responsibilities Of The Material Handler Will Include
  • Receive finished product at the end of the line.
  • Inspect finished goods prior to passing on to the next process.
  • Place correct labels on packaged materials.
  • Read and follow route slips and daily schedules.
  • Complete all required paperwork correctly and accurately.
  • Assist with other areas of the production area as needed.
Skills / Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Ability to work in a continuous fast‑paced environment with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
  • Ability and willingness to be trained to be a machine operator.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
